THE SRI LANKA BUDDHIST SOCIETY (SLSBS) YOUTH GROUP

Dear Friends,

The SLSBS and Dhamma School (DS) wish to invite all DS leavers to join with us to take Dhamma and spiritual learnings to the next level. Hence, we wish to launch a much-needed initiative to form a DS Youth Group by re-grouping our Dhamma School leavers and grooming them to lead Buddhist learnings and practices.

Therefore, Dhamma School and the SLSBS wish to invite children of all folks over the age of 14yrs to be part of this youth group. The inaugural meeting is scheduled for 13th February 2022 at 15:15 hrs (3:15 pm) at Kenwick Buddhist Vihara. At this meeting we wish to lay the foundation for a long journey by forming the first ever Youth Dhamma Group at Kenvick Buddhist Vihara.

Here we plan to discuss and formulate a vision and mission for this group and define a clear action plan. Mrs Ramani Gunasekera will lead this endeavour and guide this first group initially on Meditation and Dhamma discussion. We also hope to invite learned guest speakers conversant on dhamma and having in-depth knowledge in meditation too on a regular basis. Furthermore, we expect this Teen Group to become more involved in temple activities and SLSBS missions.

Therefore, we look forward to see you all on this Sunday at the Kenwick Buddhist Vihara for this important initiative to launch this Youth Group.

Please come along and be part of this great initiative.

Theruwan Saranay!

SLSBS and DS
