Katina Pinkama is among the most important events in our Buddhist Calendar. Therefore, we expect all your participation at this year’s Katina Pinkama.
Katina Pinkama will be held on Sunday, 28th October 2018 as follows.
- First Session (Morning) from 5:00am to 1:30pm
- Second Session (Evening) from 5:30pm to 7:00pm
TRAFFIC AND PARKING ON SUNDAY, 28TH OCTOBER DURING KATINA PINKAMA.
Thank you for your support provided during previous festivals and we need similar support again.
PLEASE BE INFORMED THAT TEMPLE FRONT ENTRANCE AT AUSTIN AVENUE WILL BE CLOSED ON 28th OCTOBER. KINDLY USE THE REAR CAR PARK ENTRANCE THROUGH SUMMERSHILL GATE ROAD.
This will be done in order to maintain safe working conditions for the event.
Please do not slow down or stop or park at the main entrance of the Temple at Austin Avenue.
Stopping for drop off or any other matters at the main entrance blocking main flow traffic would create unnecessary traffic congestion, public protest as well as complaints to Council Authorities.
Please use the Davision Road verge for parking as shown on the attached map.
PLEASE REFRAIN FROM USING FRONT ENTRANCE FOR ANY PURPOSE DURING THE KATINA PINKAMA ON 28TH OCTOBER.
Please refrain from parking on Verges, Foot paths, Sides of the internal Roads, areas marked as RED/CLOSED and make sure not to inconvenience neighbors around the temple.
Kindly follow same guidelines during the evening session, Atavisi Buddha Puja and Katina Bana at 5:30pm
Your usual and kind support is much needed to manage Traffic and Parking without any issues.
Kindly respect and give your fullest cooperation to volunteers who will be on duty for your help.
Please park economically, without blocking the way for the other devotees.
Also, kindly take extra care while you are crossing the roads with children and elderly parents.
