Dear Friends,
On 1st January (Today), last day of the Pirith Ceremony.
- Atavisi Buddha Pooja will start at 5.30pm (5.30pm to 6.15pm). So, please be at temple by 5:00 pm.
- Pirith Ceremony and chanting will start at 6.30pm.
- Sacred “Pirith Nool”, Bottles of “Pirith thel” and “Pirith water” will be distributed by Maha Sanga after the Pirith Ceremony.
- Celebrate New Year – Kindly bring a plate of delicious and traditional Sri Lankan foods such as Kiribath, Lunumiris etc to share and celebrate New Year.
PLEASE BE INFORMED THAT TEMPLE FRONT ENTRANCE AT AUSTIN AVENUE WILL BE CLOSED TODAY, 1ST JANUARY 2019 AT 6PM ONWARDS OR AS SOON AS TEMPLE CAR PARK IS FULL.
After 5:30PM, please use the Davision Road verge for parking as shown on the attached map.
Please do not slow down or stop or park at the main entrance of the Temple at Austin Avenue.
Stopping for drop off or any other matters at the main entrance blocking main flow traffic would create unnecessary traffic congestion, public protest as well as complaints to Council Authorities.
Please refrain from parking on Verges, Foot paths, Sides of the internal Roads, areas marked as RED ON THE ATTACHED PLAN and make sure not to inconvenience neighbors around the temple.
Please park economically, without blocking the way for the other devotees.
