The first one for the year on Sunday March 13 was for students from L3 to 7, from 8.15am to 4.30pm.

These programmes are open to all children, even if they do not attend DS.

40 children observed the eight precepts.

Our students were fortunate to have visiting Austrian monk Venerable Susara to conduct the day’s programme.  Children don’t often get to interact with monks due to language difficulties; so it was a good experience to have a venerable conducting the whole programme. The children enjoyed the Dhamma discussions and Q&A sessions, and Ven. Susara in turn said he enjoyed teaching the children as they were very responsive and enthusiastic. He commended their behaviour, saying they were very calm and peaceful.

Students in L3 went home after dana giving Ven. Susara time for in depth discussions with the older students.
